Burress Injury Law's 12th Annual Picnic

Our annual picnic shares Burress Injury Law’s passion for giving back to our community. Each year the firm underwrites the entirety of the picnic and contributes to the selected causes through a matching gift. In 2023, Burress Injury Law’s 12th annual picnic took place in front of the newly constructed Burress Injury Law Headquarters in Adriatica Village. The event featured live performances by the Maylee Thomas Band, Jon Christopher Davis, Austin Cunningham, Songbird Jones, and Yarn. Our firm’s very own Whiskey Dreamers also made their live debut on. The festivities included a range of activities, such as face painting, bounce houses, a race car exhibit, a shaved ice truck, and much more.

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, donors, family, friends, and Burress Injury Law’s matching contribution, the picnic raised an impressive $74,399.40. This donation was given to the Love Life Foundation and the Burress Community Foundation to help make a difference in our local community.

Burress Injury Law’s 11th Annual Picnic continues the tradition of giving

The 11th Annual Picnic was a great success! Thanks to our family, friends, and supporters, we donated $60,000 for a total of $305,000 to local charities. Burress Injury Law funds this event each year, welcoming the community for an afternoon of family fun. This year’s picnic featured music from JCD, hometown favorite Austin Cunningham, and Maylee Thomas!

Burress Injury Law 10th Annual Picnic donates $114,000.00 to ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship

On Saturday, September 4th, friends throughout the community gathered together for Burress Injury Law’s 10th Annual Picnic benefiting ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship in McKinney.

Burress Injury Law funds this event each year, welcoming friends, colleagues, clients, vendors, and staff for an afternoon of family fun. This year’s picnic featured music from American recording artist Kevin Fowler, hometown favorite Austin Cunningham, and upcoming artist Lauren Rose. Patrons enjoyed delicious burgers provided by Local Yocal, caught live catfish from Kid Fish, enjoyed bounce houses, petting zoos and other kid activities, and bid on silent auction items donated by local businesses. Burress Injury Law funds the entirety of the picnic each year and matches donations dollar-for-dollar. This year, Burress Injury Law set a lofty goal of raising $70,000 for ManeGait.

Before the picnic began, Burress Injury Law had $31,250 pledged by donors throughout north Texas. The event hit its goal in the first hour and donations continued to pour in for a total of $114,000.00 given to ManeGait.

Burress Injury Law has been a longtime supporter of ManeGait, raising approximately $240,000 for ManeGait over the past decade. These proceeds support ManeGait’s mission to help children and adults (former military and first responders) with serious disabilities and other injuries, move beyond their boundaries through the healing power of the horse.

ManeGait’s Executive Director, Tricia Nelson, shared, “We are so appreciative of the ongoing support of our mission that Burress Injury Law and their friends have provided. We could not keep our riders in the saddle without this beautiful community.”
